Sept 2009

Villa Saphrini was everything we hoped for and more. An immaculate villa with lots of spacein the living areas and bedrooms and furniture and fittings were of a very high quality. The pool area was spacious and well looked after with good views down to the sea(great sunsets from the balcony every night) and is not overlooked at all. Set in a very quiet residential area if you are looking for somewhere peacefull to relax you will not be disappointed

Secret Valley and its surrounding area offer a wide range of activities and entertainment from golfing within the resort and adjacent Aphrodite Hills, skiing in the Troodos mountains (Dec- Apr), swimming, sailing, diving & windsurfing along the coast, horse riding, tennis and spa treatments to endulging in Cyprus’ rich and diverse culture with excursions to sites such as Aphrodite’s rock, the famous Tombs of the Kings and the Christian Catacombs amongst many more.

get out on the water at Latchi

A villa was originally an ancient Roman upper-class country house. Since its origins in the Roman villa, the idea and function of a villa have evolved considerably. After the fall of the Roman Republic, villas became small farming compounds, which were increasingly fortified in Late Antiquity, sometimes transferred to the Church for reuse as a monastery. Then they gradually re-evolved through the Middle Ages into elegant upper-class country homes. In modern parlance, ‘villa’ can refer to various types and sizes of residences, ranging from the suburban “semi-detached” double villa to residences in the wildland–urban interface.

Aphrodite's Rock Brewery

A short drive up into the hills of Paphos

A short drive from the villa will find you at the aphrodites rock brewery, set in the hills above paphos it is a brilliant spot for a bite to eat and to enjoy a real ale in the cypriot sunshine.

Often host to live music and events it is a favourite of ours for a bite to eat and good company. they also offer tours of the brewery itself which we highly recommend!
